It is with great disappointment that the Trail & Enduro Motorcycle Club, 2017 KTM Adventure Rally will not be going ahead as planned this year. After several months, many emails, many course changes and hours of negotiation with DPaW (department of Parks and wildlife) we had our last meeting over the weekend with them to try and reach a final agreement for the proposed course this year.Like most of the country it is getting harder and harder to hold dirt bike events in the state forests. Harvey has always been good to the club and the state enduro but this year they are conducting re vegetation and a health and environment survey. This in return has made a majority of the area unavailable. The little area that was approved was not suitable. So after much deliberation and sadness The Trail & Enduro Motorcycle Club Committee have decided that in the interest of the riders and the reputation of the club and the event, the event will not go ahead this year.It is such a shame as this event has a very long history (33 years to be exact) and being the biggest Enduro event in Western Australia it has a lot of hype and excitement. We are already looking towards next years Adventure Rally and an alternative area in which case we may need it next year.We thank KTM Australia for again this year being our major sponsor. We would also like to thank Tyres 4 Bikes, R & R Fencing, West Coast Trail Bike Safaris, West Coast Trailbike Park, Motology Films and EnduroweTech for their generosity and look forward to continued support of the Adventure Rally next year.
The Adventure Rally will be back bigger and better again next year 👍
